About me
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, I have been drawing and painting since I was 3 years old. Today, I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education History with a minor in Popular Music and a Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. In the future, I hope to complete and publish my research on Taino music and instruments. (Tainos are the people who were native to Puerto Rico before it was invaded by Spain.) In my research, I will attempt to recreate the Taino's musical expressions and share new findings about their culture through analysis of their music.

Embracing Hands-On Learning, Arts Integration, and Individualized Approaches
As an educator, my teaching philosophy is deeply rooted in the principles of hands-on learning, the integration of visual art and music into academic lessons, and a steadfast belief in the unique learning styles of every student. Inspired by the transformative ideas of Paulo Freire, I view education as a tool for humanization and liberation, and I am committed to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Hands-On Learning Opportunities:
I believe that learning is most effective when students actively participate in the educational process. Hands-on experiences not only deepen understanding but also provide practical skills that are essential for real-world application.
